Letter Bear Game

This month the incomparable Dr. Jean has posted a fun activity to help us prepare for the upcoming school year.  One day she posted directions for playing "Letter Bear."  I made a game to go with her video so that you can print and download.  Grab it for free in my TpT store or you can download here too.  Here is the link to the Youtube video that tells about the game.

Milk Bottle Cap Game - Learning Letters and Letter Sounds

I have been collecting milk jug caps forever and wanted to make a letter game. This is my version of some that I have seen online.

First I collected a ton of bottle caps (thanks to my daughter who is a milk lover)!

I printed out the letters and cut them out.  You can get your own letters by clicking below.

Then I modge podged the letters to the tops of the bottle caps.

I did 3 coats.

Then we played the game!

I also made a version for matching beginning sounds to pictures.  You can see the versions and grab your own copy here

ABC Parade

Whew!  It's been such a long time since I have blogged!  I have tons of pictures and ideas so I need to get busy soon!

Since summer is coming we decided to have some "learning fun" to celebrate the end of Kindergarten!  Today we had an "Alphabet Parade!"  It was so much fun!!

We used letters printed from an anchor chart product from Cara Carroll and Alphabet Hats from Simply Kinder.  We used four pieces of cardboard stapled together to make our "costumes."  Then we walked around our school singing alphabet songs!  So fun!

Letter Jar Activity

I found a picture of this activity online somewhere, maybe Pinterest but could not find a printable so I made one.  I plan to print it and attach it to a plastic "jar" in my classroom and fill with letters.

Please feel free to download and use!

Freebies

This is a freebie I created some time ago.  I printed it, laminated it and bound it into a book to "read" or "sing" in my class of kindergarteners!  Click on the picture to download!

I created another freebie today!

You can also use this for a formative assessment in your class.  It's four pencils with numbers.  You can print, laminate and place around your classroom for a fun "multiple choice" activity.  Download it for free by clicking on one of the images below!

I created a new freebie today!

This is a product that can be used for formative assessment in your classroom.  Just print them, laminate them and glue them to tongue depressors! Students can hold them up to show their understanding.  Grab yours by clicking on the picture below.

I really would love to get into constructing items for TpT.  Usually I just end up buying.  In my dreams I will eventually have a "real" store.

Until then, here's a freebie I created.

I print these out (with my contact information added) and then I laminate and put a magnet on the back  Then I pace them in a basket for parents to pick up during Open House or Meet the Teacher Day!
